  1. Joan Baez rendition. In , Anne Bredon appeared on a live folk-music show on radio station KPFA in Berkeley, California, where she performed "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You". Janet Smith heard the performance and later Baez learned the song from Smith at Oberlin College.. The album Joan Baez in Concert includes a solo performance with her vocal and acoustic guitar .
  2. Led Zeppelin’s body of work is so vast, so varied and so flooded with outstanding songs, you have to sit down (or dance around) to simply start somewhere. “Babe, Im Gonna Leave You,” coming so early in their career, a sign of things to come, is a great place to begin to explore Zep’s core contributions to Rock-N-Roll.
  3. Mar 11,  · On the track, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", at around the mark, you can hear RP in the background in a faint audible singing "I can hear it calling me ", which sounds kind of erie, yet almost comes across as a over-dub. My question is is that intentional or was it a misque? BTW "BIGLY" is one of my favorite acoustic pieces by Led Zeppelin.
